Ways to Get Involved
ACLT is a member and volunteer supported nonprofit organization. Your tax deductible donations help ACLT preserve land, provide public access to natural areas, and protect and manage the most undeveloped watershed on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay.
In addition to membership dues, supporters can make a monetary gift to further ACLT's land protection and land management efforts. You can designate your gift in honor of or in memory of someone of your choosing. You can also make an online donation to ACLT's spring or fall fundraising appeals here. Gifts will be acknowledged by name in ACLT's quarterly newsletter and by an acknowledgment letter, mailed to the address you supply, which will serve as your tax receipt. Please indicate 'anonymous' in the comment section if you do not wish your name to appear in our newsletter. Donate Online or use our mail-in form.
You can give the gift of your time and talents. Volunteer for a single day or an ongoing program. See: Volunteer Opportunities.
Attending an ACLT event is a good way to learn more about the land trust.
Calendar of Events
Certain events require you to register in advance so that we can contact you in the event of cancellation or because space is limited. If the Calendar of Events requires you to register, you may either call the office or use the link provided in the Calendar of Events.
ACLT participates in the Combined Federal Campaign (#53731) and the Maryland Charity Campaign (#1549). ACLT is a proud member of the EarthShare Mid-Atlantic Chapter. Ask your employer to include EarthShare in their campaign.
Designated Gifts & Planned Giving
You can designate a gift for the Land Management Endowment or the Land Acquisition Fund or you can specify an activity you would like to support, such as the Auction. Use the 'comment' box on the donation form to designate your gift for a specific fund or activity. Please contact the ACLT Executive Director if you have any questions about designated gifts or planned giving.
